Diana Sudyka 2010
Diana Sudyka is an illustrator and printmaker working in the Chicago area. Her printmaking background includes working as master printer for Chicago studios such as Big Cat, and Landfall Press (now located in Santa Fe, NM). Currently she creates illustrations for everything from books, album artwork, screenprinted rock posters, to watercolors for her blog The Tiny Aviary that documents her experience volunteering for the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History. Some bands that she has created posters for include: The Decemberists, Feist, Iron and Wine, Andrew Bird, Modest Mouse, Pearl Jam, St. Vincent, and The Black Keys.

Jay Ryan and Dan McCarthy 2010
Jay Ryan and his studio The Bird Machine have created more than 10 years of iconic gig posters for bands like The Flam- ing Lips and Andrew Bird. Dan McCarthy produces elegant landscapes, which often contain dinosaurs, as part of a wildly popular Print of the Month Club. Together, their 2010 Screens ‘N’ Spokes collaboration is a lesson in harmonious contrasts. And fun.

Rich Kelly 2010
After receiving his BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University, Rich Kelly returned home to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator. He drew and painted everyday and eventually came to work on major editorial and advertising projects for various local and national clients. He now lives and works in Chicago where he strives to make fresh, relevant imagery. His Screens ‘N’ Spokes print is an homage to the great cyclist Marshall “Major” Taylor, who became the first African-American world champion in 1899.

Chris and his printer monkey/2 year old son Seamus, own and operate Plastic Flame Press, a small screen printing empire, out of their home in Raleigh, NC. Over the last 15 years, Chris has gone from tacking hand-scrawled fliers around his neighborhood to making screen printed posters for one of the most prominent venues in North Carolina, Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC.

Greg Pizzoli and Tim Gough 2010
Back in 2007, Greg Pizzoli and Tim Gough met for the first time at the inaugural Screens 'N' Spokes opening. They both were printing in Philadelphia and had exchanged admiring emails with each other, but had not yet met in person. Fast forward four years, and on September 18 they will open “Peaceable Kingdom,” a joint show at Philly’s Masthead Print Studio and Gallery.

Mike Munter and Jessi Preston 2010
Michael Munter is a professional artist that has been working in the Philadelphia area for over 10 years. He is a graduate of the prestigious Stella Elkins Tyler School of Art in Elkins Park, Pa. His BFA was in Printmaking with a minor in Graphic Design as well as advanced studies in Painting and Illustration.
Jessi Preston has traveled as an unarmed gypsy, mastered the art of pinata destruction, and has managed to elude bigfoot since receiving her BFA from Tyler School of Art. Ms. Preston is a tattoo artist, painter, graphic designer, print maker and sneaky devil.

Since 2005, Justin Helton has emerged from the South as one of the finest young graphic designers today. Helton’s designs are hip, quirky, and always unexpected. Born in the midwest, but bred, and educated in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and cat Whiskey. Helton specializes in screen-printed concert posters, album packaging, and merchandise design. Helton’s recently worked exclusively with bands, management companies, and concert promoters to design gallery-worthy posters for Phish, My Morning Jacket, Trey Anastasio (of Phish), Jack Johnson.

Mark currently attends the School of Visual Arts in New York City were he studies Advertising. When taking a break from school he prints posters and drinks beer with friends. When printing, Mark puts paper under the screen, pulls, and prays like hell that it comes out alright.

Dan Kuhlken and Nathan Goldman were both drawn to music and design at an early age, but didn’t combine their talents until 2005 when the duo founded a design studio with the goal of fusing these two creative avenues. The pair has found a niche in linking a personal and unique aesthetic to the world’s most talented musical artists. In addition to serving a wide range of independent and corporate clients, Dan and Nathan have been the resident poster artists at the world famous Troubadour in Hollywood, California since 2007.

In addition to his prodigious talents as a designer he captains the Kollective Fusion cycling team in local Livestrong and Bike MS events.

Sara Turner is one half of the tag-team duo Cricket Press, who has been making screen printed and letter pressed posters for half a decade. They come from backgrounds involving all sorts of creative media. In short, they enjoy making stuff out of stuff (and many times out of nothing). Since 2003, Cricket Press has created gig posters for hundreds of shows, from indie acts such as Son Volt, Sufjan Stevens, and Mogwai to free jazz luminaries Ken Vandermark and Peter Brotzmann.

Brian Turner is one half of the husband-and-wife duo Cricket Press, who has been making screen printed and letter pressed posters for half a decade. John Vogl runs a very small illustration and design studio under the moniker, the Bungaloo. John busies himself by screen printing limited edition concert posters, as well as providing his illustration and design work for t-shirts, websites, art prints, sketchbooks, album artwork and things of that ilk.

Justin Santora and Gina Kelly 2010
Since 2006, Gina Kelly has printed posters for bands like Built to Spill, Beirut, Calexico, and The Swell Season, among many others. She is currently living in Paris, France, and came back to the US for a brief hiatus this summer to do a variety of things, including printing her SNS collaboration! Justin Santora is a Chicagoland-based emerging artist who focuses on drawing and printmaking. His prints are often complex in composition and skill, but simple in their beauty and intent.

Adam has been drawing and creating since he was 18 months old (at least according to his mom). But since 2003 his creative energies have been put into illustrations and screenprinting. He has designed gig posters for concerts all over the Twin Cities, including gigs for Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and OK GO. His three favorite motifs are very Screens ‘N’ Spokes appropriate: cityscapes, bikes and pinups.
